Tumkur is an administrative district in the South Karnataka Region as well as the Municipal Corporation of the District. It is one of the twenty-eight Lok Sabha constituencies in the state of Karnataka. Tumkur has 8 Assembly constituencies (AC), according to Delimitation Commission of India. Among these, Koratagere AC is kept for the Scheduled Castes.
